Before you write in

A few quick things that resolve the most common questions:

  • Prices not current? Open the portfolio and tap the refresh icon — quotes update once per trading day automatically, and on demand any time.
  • Not seeing your data on another device? Make sure iCloud sync is enabled in Settings and you're signed into the same Apple ID.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the things people ask most.

How do I add a portfolio or holding?

Tap the "+" to create a portfolio, open it, then "Add Holding" and enter a ticker symbol (for example AAPL) and the number of shares. Start typing a company name or symbol and the app helps you find the right ticker.

Where do prices come from?

Quotes come from a public market-data endpoint using only the ticker symbols you enter. No personal information is ever sent with a price request.

How does iCloud sync work?

Your portfolios sync through your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so they stay current across your Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It's a convenience — the app works fully offline too. Turn it on or off in Settings.

How do I set up the daily email summary?

In Settings, enter your own sending email account (for example a Gmail address with an app-specific password) and a recipient address. The app then emails you a PDF summary each trading day, sent directly from your device. It's entirely optional and off until you fill it in.

How do I lock the app with Face ID?

Turn on the Face ID / Touch ID lock in Settings. It requires authentication each time the app opens and falls back to your device passcode.

Can I back up or move my data?

Yes. You can back up your entire database to a single file and restore it later — handy when setting up a new device or keeping an archive.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad on iOS/iPadOS 17 or later, and Mac on macOS 14 or later.

Is my financial data private?

Yes. There's no developer backend — your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
