Portfolio Tracker Professional (“the app”) is designed so that your financial
data stays yours. We — the developer, eSecurity, LLC — do not operate a server that
collects, stores, or receives your information. This policy explains what the app handles and
where it lives.
Information the app stores
The app stores the data you enter and generate, on your own device:
- The portfolios, ticker symbols, and share counts you add.
- Daily history and computed values (market value, gain/loss, all-time high).
- Optional email settings (a sending email address and app-specific password, a recipient
address, and an optional PDF password), if you enable the daily email summary.
Where your data lives
- On your device, in the app's private storage.
- In your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit), if you leave iCloud
sync enabled, so your portfolios stay in sync across your Apple devices. This uses
your iCloud account; the developer has no access to it.
- Email credentials are stored in the device Keychain (and synced via iCloud
Keychain if you have that enabled), used only to send the summary email you requested.
We do not collect, sell, share, or transmit your data to the developer or
any third party. The app has no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Network use
- Stock prices are fetched from a public market-data endpoint using the
ticker symbols you enter. No personal information is sent with these requests.
- The daily summary email, if you enable it, is sent directly from your
device to your email provider over an encrypted connection, to the recipient you specify.
Nothing is routed through the developer.
Security
- Network and email connections use standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
- An optional Face ID / Touch ID (or device passcode) lock can require
authentication before the app opens.
- Your data is further protected by your device's built-in disk encryption and your Apple ID.
Your control
- Edit or delete any portfolio or holding at any time.
- Turn iCloud sync off and run the app fully offline.
- Back up and restore your data to a file you control.
- Deleting the app removes its local data from that device.

Everything above is about the Portfolio Tracker Professional app, which remains free of
analytics, advertising, and tracking SDKs. Separately, the esecurityllc.com website
uses Plausible Analytics, a
privacy-focused analytics service, to see aggregate traffic — for example, how many visitors a
page gets and which page they came from next. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect
or store any personal data, and cannot identify individual visitors. No data from this website's
analytics is cross-referenced with the app described above.
Children
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Effective date” above reflects the latest version.
